Arke’s Martin English is co-hosting the next Atlanta Sitecore User Group meetup, which will focus on updates, announcements and lessons learned at the recent Sitecore Symposium in Las Vegas.
It will be held 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov 16 at Roam Buckhead, a meeting space at 3365 Piedmont Rd NE in Atlanta.
“There will be something for everyone, from front-end developers and back-end developers to designers, marketers and strategy folks,” English said.
Sitecore MVP – and Artist
A Sitecore MVP, English describes the content management system as his canvas. “I love pushing Sitecore to its limits by creating innovative, artistic techniques to solve our client’s problems,” he said.
English is a solutions architect, developer, and trainer, who serves as one of Arke‘s Sitecore Practice Directors.
He and two other Arke marketing technology consultants — Sitecore Practice Directors Andy Uzick and Patrick Perrone — earned Sitecore Version 9 certification just days after its release at Sitecore’s annual user conference at The Mirage Las Vegas last month.
Sitecore xConnect & Sitecore Cortex
The version 9 releases of Sitecore Experience Platform and Sitecore Experience Manager incorporate significant machine learning and cognitive computing technology “to automate and improve results,” Sitecore CEO Mark Frost said.
The updates introduce two innovative features:
Sitecore xConnect, a framework of APIs and services that enable users to integrate customer interaction data collected by Sitecore with customer data from a range of third-party data providers or channels; and
Sitecore Cortex, a machine learning engine designed to deliver real-time insights across both native and third-party customer data.
Atlanta Sitecore User Group Agenda
English said the meetup will be well worth people’s time to attend. “Attendees will have the chance to mingle with top Sitecore folks in the community. They’ll learn about some great new features in Sitecore Version 9. We’ll also share Sitecore tips and tricks, and update everyone on key topics they may have missed at the Symposium.”
- Eric Stafford, Arke Lead Sitecore Technical Consultant, and Neil Killen, Arke Sitecore Architect, will summarize lessons they learned at the Symposium Integration Bootcamp. They’ll discuss Sitecore’s data integration capabilities, which are now available through xConnect and the Data Exchange Framework.
- Rick Bauer, senior technical consultant at Perficient and a Sitecore Strategist MVP, will take a look at some of the new functionality in Sitecore 9. He’ll also talk about organizational maturity, and explore tools that can make life easier in version 8.x.
“As usual, dinner and drinks will be served,” English added.
